And the gloomy sky in the first few ones actually makes them more interesting and kind of mysterious.
Where did you find all the locks? Is it on a bridge in Paris? It’s funny how many cities copy this now, it was originally done in Cologne as an art project 🙂
Thanks, Julia! The locks were on the Pont de l’Archeveche bridge, which is right next to Notre-Dame in Paris. I really didn’t know what the locks symbolized until I got home a researched. I did read read about the Cologne origins! And also about how the locks are constantly under threat of being removed by the government (which would be a shame!) But yeah, it is funny how this got copied to other cities throughout Europe!
